Physical Planning

Overview

Physical Planning is responsible for the stewardship of the campus' land resources and unique setting. It leads land use planning and facility siting studies, while providing decision support to campus leadership on development priorities, identity, and aesthetics. Physical Planning establishes the criteria for campus leadership and project stakeholders to assess the suitability of planning and design efforts, and also develops and maintains consistency with the campus' Long Range Development Plan and informs the strategy towards achieving carbon neutrality as outlined in the UC Policy on Sustainable Practices.

Physical Design Framework

The framebook provides guidelines to planning principles and physical design standards that are applied to new campus development, facility renovation, and ongoing management and operation of campus facilities and grounds.
